Evalaws underworld is a mysterious and unfathomable place unlike anything found on the surface.
Found amongst most underworld cavern raiders and explorers is a handy compendium simply titled the Cavern raiders handbook; a guide to these perilous depths. The handbook is a collaborations from numerous explorer field notes and diary entries over the centuries, compiled to be an invaluable almanac to anyone brave, or foolish enough to set foot there. It's information can sometimes mean the difference between surviving or meeting a grisly demise. Many copies have made the journey skyward. Used as a resource for Delvers from the surface wishing the plunge down into The Sunless Realms, it has light the way for generations of Gnomish expeditions to explore this strange new world.
Those that have contributed to the handbook, knowing or unknowingly range from contemporaries such as the intrepid Gnomish explorer of the underworld and chronicler Nebrik Merriweather. Or the strange and cryptic ramblings from the journey of the Wayward Druid Respiren, that by some miracle survived the doom of Menor'cress and found their way into the possession of the Cavern Raider guilds. Offering a wide range of perspectives and experiences of how to approach certain regions of the underworld and what dangers could be lurking there. Many of regions that are closer to the surface, or are well settled with numerous sentient cultures in have far more detailed information contained within the pages. Offering handy advice such as where to resupply, what currency they take and what social customs you should be expected to observe. Suggesting what equipment and provisions certain regions will require to successfully traverse them, and what creature it is safe to approach and which one's should be avoided at all cost.
