D’nai Draal’Valaan

The Custodian Guard of Draal'Grondi. The Sisterhood of the Temple or D'nai Draal'Valaan are an elite subgroup of the templar order. One that answers only to the Exalt of Draal'Grondi alone. Their most venerated and loyal members acting as the oracles personal guard, guardians of the mother temple and the will of Aulreth. The D'nai Valaan originated as a loyal sisterhood that followed Archon Zelieth to found the temple city of Draal'Grondi. Their number was comprised of many Archons and their followers that had fought in the great war, and later their descendants. This ruling would later be relaxed permitting outsiders to join their ranks after the formation of the Seven Signs.   Eastblished out of Veilnakarii tradition, they are a fully female templar order, deeming that only those made in the image of their goddess can guard her most holy of places. They are both Templar and clergy. In many ways, they can be paralleled with the Human warrior nuns that serve the one gods.   Once an initiate reaches the completion of their training and are presented their armour as part of becoming ordained as one of the Draal’Valaan. However, before they can be fully accepted they must take up a vow, one that they must take up an ordeal, one chosen by the head of their order and leave Draal’grondi to join one of the other Templar orders or assigned to be accompanied by certain Templar of interest that the sister can benefit from learning from. Here they will pursue this vow whilst gaining valuable experience fighting on the front lines against the enemies of the Seven signs. Only when they complete their vow can they be permitted to return and become a fully ordained member of the order. The ethos behind this is that only the strongest, most devoted and worthy will complete their task and return as a guardian their mothers capital.
