Shelder is our big lush home planet. Our mother star Shel gives it energy and keeps it in check, while our moon Shelyn watches over us and help us with the little things such as tides and phases and the slowing down of days over time.

Being a creature native of Shelder means being part of a massive family, a long and varied evolution of beings over time, differentiated so much to become almost unrecognizable one from the other, and yet all coming from basically the same crib.

Learn your place in the world quickly. Autotrophs like cyanomorphs and plants take sunlight and turn it into basic food. Herbivores can eat this basic food, thus using some of the energy of the sun passed on to the autotrophs. Carnivores can eat the herbivores, thus using some of the energy the herbivores have been harnessing during their daily routine eating plants. And decomposers can recycle dead beings to get whatever energy is stored in their lifeless bodies.
To be alive is to use whatever is available to survive in order to grow and reproduce, so that life can move on and adapt to the ever changing conditions of the world. Failing to do so equates to the extintion of your genepool, your family legacy, maybe even your entire species. Succeeding in reproduction can open up options, maybe to continue on the same path, tweaking and adapting in tiny steps, maybe going into a completely different path, conquering new grounds, new concepts, new abilities. It's not always up to us, there is a great that is managed by the blind fortune of genetic mutation, that might or might not grant certain offspring with traits that might or might not make a difference in the environemnt and in the routine.
But given the opportunity, will you be able to make it work?
