Mustaia
"Quick moves! Better catch up!"Friends in the form of mustelids & co.! Mustaia are known for their mischief and antics, and are some of Ayun Sovos's most animated denizens.
Weasely Fellows
Mustaia often enjoy physical activities and challenges that revolve around dexterity, as most tend to come in lithe and agile forms — though there are also the fluffier and stockier of mustaia who just prefer to lounge and enjoy quiet time. Their populations are scattered all across the world, and each boast a unique collection of builds and appearances. From the hardy badgerfolk, to the aquatic otterfolk, all the way to the slight weaselfolk and mischievous stoatfolk, they share a wide collection of similarities and differences each.Farmland Frolickers
The mustaia of Brightfield primarily reflect badgers and polecats, with some otterfolk scattered across the river settlements. Local weaselfolk make for nimble neighbors, who often find themselves in tight squeezes by accident. Many mustaia find their homes in Brightfield, though some of the more notable names in Iverra are of two Ringtale Elementary School instructors, Chimari Motera and Wenry Koasten — who made their way to Brightfield from abroad!
Other forms of mustaia tend to be quite rare in Brightfield; plenty of other mustaia find themselves there, however, through travels and relocations, like a new and growing community of minkfolk!
Hearts of the Wetlands
Not all mustaia make their lives by water, but the Nihi Mustaia of Nihiaki brought life to the grand Lake Gami when these adventurous otterfolk decided to make it their permanent home. From then, their home of Shidena grew from a small village to a bustling lakeside capital. While the otterfolk are most common in Shidena, other mustaia live all throughout the city and its surrounding regions, though the ones that prefer to keep their feet dry tend to make their homes out in the forests instead of on the lake and its surrounding marshes. Local raccoonfolk aren't picky about where they settle in Nihiaki, for example, while skunkfolk will avoid the marshlands and stick to less dense forest settlements. Much of Brightfield's growing minkfolk population came from Nihiaki — Iverra's allure has been bringing lots of new people over to the growing city!Nihiaki

Mustelids! I love mustelids. Especially weasels. 'Doctors ask that they take care regardless.' This made me laugh. I am going to assume many Ferretfolk do not heed this advice.
