The Maiden of Flame and her Shadows

No one's certain what happened in the years of when the princess was presumed dead and when she returned home. However, time has recorded the great celebration that was had when she returned and the times after where she rose to the ranks of the goddess for whom she was named after.

The Ashes of Nethilorn

At the young age of 12, she was to be sent to Zhadya to learn under the best scholars and tutors the world could offer. Sent out with a contingent of Kingsguard and traveling under the protection of her uncle, Brigga was to live the next six years away from her family and friends and kingdom.   No one knows what happened but the caravan was to pass Nethilorn, never even entering its city limits. However, whether due to a need of repair or inclement weather, the caravan found itself present in the city when the whole region of it went up in flames.

Revealed In the Ash

While it's a mystery as to why the caravan came there, the destruction of the city was solved by the strongest divination mages sent to the region who had investigated the death of a prime trade city. At the very epicenter of the explosion, a memory was awakened in the ashes revealing a scene of a carriage under attack by bandits, a man bleeding to death pinned to the carriage door that bandits were trying to force open. When they did, flames erupted and the city became ash.   The child walked away unscathed and crying, alone and with nothing but the clothes on her back with her footprints leaving scorch marks on the earth. She was picked up by a rider on horseback and the trail ended there.   Some mages called her Wildfire believing her powers came from wild magic that had yet to be tamed while others called her Elduriel, the Maiden of Flame.

The Weapon of War

While she was believed to have found a haven, that haven was lost to her only a few years later as she somehow found herself under the thumb of the corrupt Senator Daoscerin. Having tracked down the legendary Wildfire, he had intended to gift her to the High Council of Zhadia as a means of regaining reputation and rank over the section of the city that he had held. However, the Mist Dragon had come to her aid and rescued her, unwittingly ending the hold Daoscerin had on the city and leading to his eventual execution by his own circle.   At the Mist Dragon's lair and amongst his people, Brigga found a new purpose and goal and dedicated herself to the same purpose that they all held, helping the city fight for its soul.   It was during these years that she received a vision of her homeland and an apocalypse coming that needed to be stopped. With Dhirga traveling as her sworn protector, she took the task of traveling back home.

The Return of the Sun

During her journey, she found herself guided to a temple by her dreams where she found a lone temple guardian who remained in the crumbling building. She gave warning that she had foreseen doom come to the lands and gifted her the last weapon forged in what she revealed to be the last forge of Brigga's fire.

The Time of Prophesy

In the era dubbed the Brink of Existence, Brigga found herself rallying the people of her kingdom allying with the people of Zhadya who eventually turned to them during the war. She strategized key attack and fortifactions amongst the lands and with the help of Dhirga mounted a successful campaign to establish what became known as the Knife's Edge, the border between the realms of men and the encroaching Void.   In the final battle where the heroes converged on the Void god, Brigga, now in control of her abilities realized that the Void could overwhelm the heroes. Remembering what she could do, she bid farewell to her love and kingdom before exploding in black fire that seared the lands, cleansing it of the Void and allowing the heroes their charge.   Her sacrifice would spur Dhirga on recklessly and he would in turn sacrifice himself in a moment that changed the tide of the battle and shaped the future of the world.

Thank you so much! This is definitely one that I had trouble writing and am thinking of adding a whole lot more and editing once we can touch these articles again! :D
