Accumulated Han Spell in Koria | World Anvil

Accumulated Han

Overview

The spell "Accumulated Han" is the result of a Vael who was a broken being. Her origin remains unknown, but her name Han'Hula was now tied to the spell. She lived alone after she was disappointed with her children, her husband, her wife and some of her community. She thought she never felt real love and feared for her fellow Vaels (including the males and the sexfluid elves and yes, even the Garladans) to experience the same hell so she started digging and crafted the Accumulated Han.

The spell had a different name back then, when the first 150 runes were enscripted, but this name was lost to time.

Workings

The inner workings of this spell are short to describe: it has to be spoken aloud with the name of the target in it - which is the only variable to it - and after spoken, the target will experience for approx. an hour the feeling of being loved and cared for.

Effects

The target of the spell will feel loved and cared for. Some experience it as the feeling of hot cocoa or a warm blanket wrapped around them, others like a hug from a friend, some even describe it with having intercourse or smelling the person they love.
Side Effects
The side effects of Accumulated Han are more of an overload then really side effects. Yes, it comes with an addiction to the workings of the spell itself which can cause the soul to crumble but besides that the side effects are minor: weeping, grief, the feeling of loss and the wanting for more. It wears off after a few weeks without being under the influence of the spell.
Those effects aren't working with the usage of one single spell, they accumulate after certain usages; it is all about the dosage. Most of the time people are shrugging it off without a thought and can use it ten or more times right away without waiting, but if those side effects has built up, it can get nasty

That's a lot of accumulated life experience, and I love the description. And... now I want a blanket and a big mug of hot cocoa! XD   Thanks for a nice read and some good vibes, Eddie.

This is sweet!   Just in case anyone's wondering - Eddie did check with me prior to writing this on whether it'd be okay to do so, and the character of Han'Hula doesn't represent me as a person!

What a sweet spell, I like it.~   Although the sideeffects are a tiny bit harsh. What if the user has to leave for a trip and can‘t refresh it? Isn’t that a bit inconsiderate? Having your partner experience loss and grief until you return sounds not pleasant nor healthy.

It isn't pleasant nor healthy and wasn't designed this way. The spell was designed around the thought that you as the caster has a target in mind which is really sad. Depression, anxiety, self-doubt and not even your or other peoples kindest words can give them a good feeling, not even the sight of a very happy puppy. So you cast the spell onto the other person to give them a few hours of a good feeling. Maybe it helps, maybe it gets worse after the effects are wearing off. I mean, you technically can cast the spell on your partner, but why would you do that? You already know that your partner is loving you and you will return to your loving partner, even when on the sea or deep down in the mines.   I mean the side effects aren't working right away. It is like all drugs: the dosage is the real deal. Using it ten times? Twenty times? Yeah, why not, but it depends on the resiliance of the target when those side effects are hitting. And how hard. Maybe I should clarify this. :)
