Ah yes, the Old Maebad Woods. Its fertile grounds create great opportunities for farmers in Nemstria Dresk. Deep secrets still hide in this seemless and peaceful place which only the finest heroes might discover.
Geography
The Old Maebad Woods is a thick forest growing fruit from trees and bushes. A small river is running through the terrain, making for a beautiful scenery full of crops and natural ressources. In the center of the woods lies the source of its fertility, The Ancient Woodland Temple. Emenating from it are powerful Nature-element Magicules. Huge farmer fields and small hamlets are built around it, with the purpose of harvesting and providing food for their town.
Ecosystem
The Old Marbad Woods stay as beautiful as they are, is because the magic sprouting from the ancient temple will seek constant balance between nature and mankind. For a tree to be harvested, there must first be planted another, to keep the will of the woods satisfied. An animal can only be hunted, when done without ill intent, as the soul of the hunter is to be pure and kind-hearted. If the balance is disturbed, a life will be claimed by the Chapelwoods.
Tooth for tooth, a life for a life. One shall become what was destroyed by the will of the woods. The righteous will be rewarded, and the evil shall perish by the hands of the temple.
Ecosystem Cycles
As the seasons change, so do the flora and fauna in the Old Maebad Woods. The same trees, growing delicious apples, and the soil, sprouting with daisies in summer, also let Hoarfrost Frizzy's and Icicle Roses grow in the winter. Each season is known for their own flora and fauna, giving the inhabitants of Nemstria Dresk a wide variety of food every day.
Localized Phenomena
The Magicules that give the forest its fertility and balance are getting weaker the farther away one steps from the Woodland Temple. It seems like the ruin is steadily producing Magicules. The reasons behind that phenomenon are yet to be discovered.
Fauna & Flora
An unending amount of different flowers, berries, fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, crops and many more can be found in this small forest. Changing over the seasons, this forest is the home of a lot of commonly and uncommonly found plants.

I like the idea of people having to replant trees. Is there still a limit in how many they can cut even if they replant all of them? Since it would take a long time for those new trees to grow up.
The concept is just to not take from the environment, so you can cut as many down as you wish, as long as you plant at least the same number again. Considering my ritual about a celestial body exist, the trees will grow back fairly quickly :)
