Ice XIy

Ice XI(y) is a rare type of water ice created by extreme temperature and pressure conditions as well as the application of artificial techniques like molecular restructuring. The resulting ice is crystalline, with an orthorhombic structure that exhibits ferroelectric properties, making it usable as a semiconductor.

Ice XI(y) can only remain stable at temperatures close to absolute zero, which has made it especially suitable for use in quantum computing. When used for this purpose, Ice XI(y) has proven to be remarkably efficient, although any major fluctuations in temperature or pressure can cause it to violently explode. Currently, the method to create Ice XI(y) is only known to the scientists belonging to the Lasamoko Scientific Colony.
