Gondwana

Antarctica use to be a inhospitable area until the warp-drive tests failure of 2065. Which resulted in the melted ice caps, and the after effect cause the creation of the Passage Rift it changed everything. Over time Antarctica became the seat of magic the capital of the world, the start of a new era.   Around the continent arose schools, research stations, one after the other, popped up. Miners came looking for Agolbathite explorers who were eager to journey to another realm of existence and the religious made pilgrimages the land, seeking answers to long unanswered questions. Lastly military looking to weaponize resources.   During the end of World War 3 it was thought to be lost in a valley of nukes but it was not to be. Not only did it come out of the war with out a scratch, that fact alone is legendary but now it was the most powerful continent in the world. under the leadership of the Gods of a New Era, the influence of magic spread to the final non believers of Earth. Around the Passage Rift the Holy city of Gondwana was formed.   With the Great Spirits contracted to the God Kings united they reformed the Earth in their own Image. One that catered to spirits, appeasing them and in turn granting the contracted more power.   When they were finally contacted by those who fled the planet they knew the time was coming for when they would meet their jilted Brothers in the stars and hundreds of years of preparation was tested. Even though the forces of earth put up a valiant fight humanity lost to an alien force, themselves.   Gondwana still stands to this day though it's partially due to the passage rift and the city has been made to do what it was planned to do before the war. Research and exploration. Using the new techniques and technology gained while in space humanity might finish exploring @
