Eris

During the expansion into the kuiper belt many dwarf planets were discovered but on held a special place in history for humanity, Eris the twin of pluto and earn its name justly, but unfortunately, being so far in the wild expanse, to make proper use of it by governments was restricted, but by private contractors not so much. Eris became a hub of astral trade, minerals and the occasional Vestige heirloom, in the area but being so far from the eye the Citizen Union it turned into a dog eat dog scenario once everyone wanted to get a piece of the pie. Though with all the crime Eris is also still recognised by the Citizen Union being one of the official Kuiper Belt colonies. Which means it has a light highway beacon built and during alien invasion they have a chance to be backed up by the Union. Many looking to live in the Kuiper belt usually head here first, and if they can survive Eris they can survive whatever the Wild Expanse throws at them.
