The years of training a contracted goes through is more to learn the primal languages of the 11 spirit realms. A dedicated contracted can learn the basic fluency of there contracted spirits language in 48 days provided they study everyday for 10 hours a day.
Other spirits types usually take 72 days under the same process. The contracted then needs to practice the spell to make sure they are correct and able to use them safely.
This is all after the essence integration ritual which has a healing period of 3 months. 4 languages in a year
