Zala Kenal

Zala Kenal is the current head of the Kenal clan as well as the nation of Sala. She is a fierce Drakkin warrior, considered the best in the nation. She is welcoming to outsiders and generous ruler, though very stern. She, like most of the Kenal clan has a racial superiority complex, believing that all other humanoids are inferior to Drakkin.
Unlike most Drakkin, however, she has met dragons, and was previously bonded to a dragon before the youngling and its entire clutch, including the adult dragons, were hunted and killed over a hundred years ago, leading to her solo rampage on those who killed the dragons, slaughtering everyone in the village and razing it to the ground. This incident led to her being chosen as leader of Kenal clan and subsequently as the monarch of Sala.
At nearly 80 years old, her battle prowess has not diminished, though she is past her prime, though some of her dragon features, such as the scales, have become less pronounced. In her youth, the entire left side of her face was scaled red, like a fire dragon, though now her face appears to have been burned as the scales molted and left pink scaly skin. Her horns, however, have grown more in her age. This feature marks her as one of the top Drakkin, as less than 5% of the drakkin population have horns of any note, while only another 5% present horns at all, which includes those with stubby horns protruding from the neck or head.
