Duchy of Tosmar
The Duchy of Tosmar is the largest province in the nation of Ideia, with a total area of approximately 750km2, though sparsely populated in much of the land area.
Geography
Spanning the majority of the northern portion of Ideia, bordering the province of Ines approximately at the Odopen river on the eastern border, and just south of the Orvik river on the western border, near the province of Stalen, and Gosenia toward the center, and bordered by the ocean to the north, east, and west.
To the south, the land is predominantly forested, with rolling hills and small clearings of grassland as well as many rivers and ponds with clear freshwater. To the north, the climate changes to a cooler climate, changing from dicidous to coniferous. The Flakstad river splits the province, providing plentiful freshwater to the land.
Climate
Cool sea breeze coming from the bay of Saurey in the north keeps the climate at a great but cool temperature year-round, with beautiful fall foliage and large seas during storms, which are held back by the stone walls and seabreaks.
Except for the area surrounding The Vault of Winter and the mountain peaks, the weather is pleasantly cool year round (60f/15.5c), but the far north is a cold tundra that rarely sees temperatures above freezing (32f/0c).
