Starlight Bunny Species in Writer's Dimension | World Anvil

Starlight Bunny

Starlight bunnies are the only non-sapient species native to the Writer's Dimension. These animals wander the halls of the designing rooms, in the hopes of someone giving them cuddles or feeding them some doughnuts.

Anatomy

Starlight bunnies have the typical physique of any lagomorph, except fluffier and more purple. These bunnies have a very round body, long legs and arms, and can jump fairly high. Their fur is softer than anything else in existence, and it glows a bright purple, with stardust sprinkled on top too. They have a tiny little tail ball and a large head with big round ears. They have sensitive tops of their heads that always needs scratching, but it doesn't actually bother the animal, they just love it.

Reproduction

Starlight bunnies reproduce asexually, and not in the way you might think. When a starlight bunny is born, it simply appears. Out of thin air a new bunny will appear, and where it was born a cloud of stardust will hang about for a few minutes, before drifting off in the wind.

Many people believe the birth of a starlight bunny outside your designing room to be a sign of good luck, which is why you'll find many people looking outside their doorways every few minutes.

Diet

Starlight bunnies require no food, and instead choose to eat for the pleasure and satisfaction of it. Their favourite foods are always doughnuts, and the smell of a box of luxury doughnuts from Ira's Doughnut Factory will cause entire herds of bunnies to flock towards you. If you cannot afford doughnuts, which is impossible since money doesn't exist in the Writer's Dimension, you can always feed them cosmic bunny food. Even cosmic bunny food tastes nice to people, and it isn't uncommon to see people snacking on the food as they feed the bunnies gathered around them.

Habitat

Starlight bunnies are comfortable in practically any environment and are most comfortable around people, as they recieve more cuddles and pets. You'll often find these bunnies flocking to particular people that they know will always give in and spend a few minutes cuddling each and every bunny in the vicinity.

Behaviour

These magical creatures will do almost anything for cuddles. Their intelligent nature has led them to "favour" certain people over others, who offer more cuddles. It is impossible for someone to forever resist cuddling a starlight bunny, and the bunnies are aware of this, however they will go to the people who will cuddle them quicker.
