The Burn - Scholar Report
The stories talk about how one night the earth roared and the great fire started, swallowing a farmer town with many of its residents. The fire spread, contained only by the rivers surrounding the farmland area. As it crept on, a road was turned into a massive firebreak to contain the flames. While this succeeded, and the farmlands quickly stopped burning, yet the town never did. For two decades a blaze of flames kept active here, until again the earth roared. But before the residents could recover, the rivers began running dry. Thus started the fall of the valley, by fire, drought, and flood. Can it happen again? Can we prevent it?
