Ottiste Delmrairt
A wandering soothsayer with unknown motives, performing occult magic. Little is known about this half-elf, except that he is not a member of the Crow's Nest. An official statement about this had to be made on account of Ottiste wandering around with a crow familiar, leading to questions from those disturbed by Ottiste's presence and interference.
Ottiste oft makes predictions and warns people of bad omens. At the same time, he also will eagerly tell people about good omens, but only at a price. While many do pay him for this, and most of his predictions do seem to come true, doubts still exist about both his abilities and how he makes his money exactly. He spends far more than he seems to obtain, so unless he has a covert patron, he's hiding some secret to his wealth.
Note, most predictions come true. But often they are self-fulfilling prophecies. It might very well be that Ottiste simply manipulates people into making the mistakes or smart moves that guarantee his predictions to end up right. Perhaps all his wandering and constantly poking his nose into things where it doesn't belong, is all in preparation of yet another con.
There is one thing that is known about Ottiste, and that is his fear of cemeteries. He avoids dead bodies, even those already buried, at all costs. But if you're willing to hear him out and pay him for it, he will still gladly tell you all about the bad and good omens your visit to a grave will bring.
