The coins used in Vaelis Arin

They are made of Variscite. Their shape and colour dictate their monetary value: the more brown ("imperfections") there is and the less sides it has, the less value it holds.

The coins always have a hole in the middle, thanks to it, they are either kept in a small bag or put in thin ropes and attached to some part of its owner's clothing.

Sometimes, to show wealth, people wear coins as jewelry
