Agolla

Agolla is a planet slightly smaller than Earth with a pleasant atmosphere at it's equator. The more extreme northern and southern landscapes are too volitile to inhabit. There is a hard line where habitability ends, Agollans learned quickly that a species of plant, the Seicorpa Vine, filtered and processed the poisons and minerals that lace the north and south. These vines require long and reliable daylight to grow, so the tilt of the planet has resulted in a green band that rings the entire equator. The importance of these plants to supporting life in this habitable zone renders them an incredibly protected species and they are encouraged to grow anywhere they can be planted, most buldings are wrapped in the bright teal vines and decorated with paintings of the vine's small golden flowers.

The Agollan Population

Diverse is an understatement when looking at the population of Agolla. The number of species represented is staggering. The planets lax immigration control based on species means that there is room for all skin tones, builds, and bizarre creatures. Immigration is instead controlled by an individual's merit, what they can offer the planet far outweighs what they look like. On the surface this looks like an idylic way to control populations, but it also creates space for some to take advantage of this policy. Seemingly law abiding citizens have set up blackmarkets to traffick goods considered illegal on most other planets. It doesn't make them any less illegal here and great efforts are made to keep these markets out of the eyes of the law.

Most offenses for non native species is exile from the planet, and a three generation ban for their family's addmittance. There are a few that result in a death penalty, such as destroying a Seicorpa Vine without going through proper channels and ensuring the plant is replaced or moved to a new site, or causing harm to a native Agollan citizen.

The Native Agollan Species (NAS) is characterized by their skin that is a range of colours, the lightest of which is a pale grey and the darkest is a deep navy blue. Their faces are adorned with decorative scales like freckles. They are tall and their hair has even wider range of colour in greens, blues, and purples. The royal family has a few identifying features, such as Zoya's golden highlights and bright white scales. Each member of the species has a natural ability to influence the world around them, for some it is the ability to encourage plant growth, and for others it's an ability to move things without touching them.

Government

Agolla is ruled by a monarch, and their family who take up different positions as ministers. Currently a young queen is on the throne, Zoya Ozla, and while being young she rules with cunning and strength. Her cousins are older but most do not envy her position. Some don't even relish their own positions and responsibilities. The royal family has absolute power and control over the way the planet is run, and while this may have bred resentment, their power is reenforced by the overwhelming strength of their abilities, mostly destructive or manipulative in nature. Members of the family are appointed to their positions based on the strength and type of ability they have. Often their abilities are incredibly beneficial in conducting their business.

Job: Planetary Ruler of Agolla

Physique: Short, slight build.

Complexion: Pale ashy purple with pink undertones, and white and gold scales

Personality: Bright, enthusiastic, and joyful. Has an unyeildingly brutal side when dealing with politics.

Agollan Ability: Mind Control. Her power can influence people's decisions but it also extends to the ability to cause headaches and pain to multiple targets.

Physique: Tall, stocky

Complexion: Deep blue with dark and white scales.

Personality: Conniving and flirty, avoids his duties. He has a bit of a complex from being a distant cousin of Queen Zoya.

Agollan Ability: Control over plants. He can encourage the growth of plants, or influence them to entangle a target.

Princess Virana Ozla

Age: 29

Species/Race: Agollan

Job: Minister of Immigration

Physique: Tall, lithe, and active

Complexion: Bright blue with white scales.

Personality: Playful, tactful, relaxed.

Agollan Ability: Lie Detection/Truth Compulsion. Virana can literally force the truth out of a person, fighting it can cause phyical damage. Her first step is to detect the deception before escalating.

Seicoria, is the capital city of Agolla. It is named for the important Seicorpa Vines that adorn it's buildings and cover almost every available inch of the place. A human might think they'd been abducted to the hanging gardens, if it wasn't for the steel and stone that rises high to form the large buildings. It's built on an outcropping of rock that drops in a sheer cliff to the sea below. This large space allows interplanetary ships of all sizes easy access to the planet's trading and diplomatic hub. There are three other large cities on the planet, but Seicoria is the most densly populated.
