The Stooly Stool

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Anyting that you won't find topside, Navara's got it on the underside. You just have to know the right people and pay right prices.

The Stooly Stool, also known as the Undermarket Square, is a tavern and the central hub of the sewers of Navara. It serves as a passage between the different levels of the sewer system, stretching over 6 different stories of various kinds and shapes, and eventually leads to the Lowerdark.

Purpose / Function

The "tavern" is actually a joined space for many activities and services. Adventurers and mercenaries sell their services for people who wish, for whatever reasons, to traverse the large network of tunnels and caves that spread under the surface. Smuggler rings embark on their routes from the lower levels, sometimes carrying cargo, other time refugees from the Underdark.

Denizens

The patrons who frequent the Stooly Stool are varied and colorful. Anyone from a simple lowlife thugs-for-hire to gambling addicted nobles can be found occupying the various levels of the establishment.

Architecture

The tavern is enormous in size, with six different stories. The floors are connected to each other by ladders made from various pipes and grates, sometimes connecting several stories together or bypassing them completely. There are several entrances to the tavern from each of the 2 floors, tuning into a traveling hub of the undercity.   The stooly stool uses the ancient elven infrastructure, namely the arches, to support it's many different floors and levels. The tunnels are located at 6.5,7.5,8.5 (second level) and 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 (first level) o'clock, in ascending order of height.
