Swamps of Yao-Shagai

The Swamps of Yao-Shagai are a monster-ruled wasteland in Ynun-Huo, with Tu-Han trying to make the most out of it despite the troubles there. Once fertile lands known for vast rice paddies and swampy fields, it produced abundant crops and fed the northern territories of the Yokun Empire. However, a catastrophic series of events, including rebellions, natural disasters, and a monstrous invasion, have transformed the region into putrid swamplands.

Habitants

The once-thriving human settlements are now almost entirely abandoned, reduced to desolate ghost towns. A few pockets of humanity still exist, living as outcasts and largely isolated from the rest of the Yokun Empire. The local nobles have lost their control of this land; the few settlements left are ruled by a coalition of Goblins, Kappas, and Yuan Ti. These monstrous beings follow a hierarchy of warlords and shamans, dark worshippers who revere Baisha and Ella'li, and work to keep the human populations subdued.
