Order of the Flowing Veil

Order of the Flowing Veil is a Knight order and also has an elite magical knighthood sworn to porect the Queendom of Ergon, that are referred to as the Scarf Magi. Unlike traditional knights clad in heavy plate armor, the Scarf Magi balance martial prowess with arcane mastery, their flowing scarves acting as both weapons and emblems of their station.
The people of Ergon claim that the order was based on the use of scarf because of the sea-spray in Steinheim.

The Veilmaster/Mistress

The supreme leader of the Scarf Magi, chosen for their unmatched skill and wisdom. The Veilmaster directly serves the queen as her chief advisor and champion.

Wardens of the Veil

These are senior knights who oversee the training of new recruits and lead battalions of Scarf Magi in battle. They are often assigned to protect key regions of the Queendom.

Scarf Magi Knights

The rank-and-file knights, these individuals have completed their training and been inducted into the order. They serve as the magical and martial backbone of the Queendom's military.

Initiates of the Veil

New recruits who train under the guidance of seasoned knights. They undergo years of rigorous instruction before earning the title of Scarf Magus.

Training and Rituals

Becoming a knight of the Flowing Veil is an arduous journey, requiring years of training in both martial and magical disciplines.
Before earning their scarves, initiates must pass the Trials of the Veil—a series of challenges that test their physical, mental, and magical abilities. These trials often include:

• The Trial of Harmony: Demonstrating mastery of balancing magic and combat.
• The Trial of Grace: Showcasing their agility and ability to fight with fluidity.
• The Trial of Loyalty: Proving their unwavering dedication to the Queendom and its people.

The Binding Ceremony

Once an initiate has passed the trials, they are presented with their first scarf in a sacred ceremony known as the Binding of the Veil. This ritual binds the scarf to the knight’s essence, marking them as a Scarf Magus of the order.
