Mertion

Mertion, also known as the Platinum Heaven, is the fifth layer of Mount Celestia. In addition, it is the location of the city of Empyrea and the plains of Arvenna.
It is realm dediucated to the eternal pursuit of good. Here, philosophers and scholars engage in endless debate and exploration, constantly refining their understanding of morality and virtue.

Government

The ruler of Mertion is Raziel, one of the celestial paragons of the archons. He is called the Crusader and is the patron of paladins.

Notable Locations

• Empyrea
  Also known as the City of Tempered Souls, it is located on the edge of a cold mountain lake. It is known to host many magical fountains with powerful healing properties, as well as many hospitals and expert healers. It is said that the The Land of Recovery has a permanent potal there.
• Arvenna
  Also known as the Chanting Grounds, it is a dusty plain and home to the souls of lawful good warriors.
• Rempha
  Also known as the City of the Sands of Time, it is a town known for its temporal anomalies.
• Soqed Hezi
  Also known as the City of Swords, it is a terraced town filled with paladins and martial organizations.
• Bahamut's Palace
  It Is reported that Bahamut's Palace is sometimes also located atop a summit in Mertion.

Geography

With a sky not too different from Solania's, Mertion is home to vast plains and savannas that serve as the mustering grounds for paladins and other lawful good servants. Instead of mountains, Mertion have majestic citadels and huge black spherical domes dotting the plains. Access to the next layer up is found at the tops of the domes.
