Kerdaghor
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Kerdaghor is part of the Confederacy of Siril and generally represents the fiery will and industrious spirit of the fire giants. Situated in the southern reaches of Siril, Kerdaghor plays a crucial role in the confederacy as a hub of trade, craftsmanship, and martial power.
Kerdaghor is known for abolishing slavery, except for those who are willing to become slaves within their realm (or those who are captured at battle, to be slaves for life while their offspring become free-men).
History
Once an independent fire giant kingdom that thrived on the slave trade and mining industries, Kerdaghor’s integration into Siril marked a significant shift in both its governance and culture. Following centuries of isolation and strife, Kerdaghor found common ground with the other states of Siril in their shared giant heritage and belief in the Giant Pantheon.
The confederacy offered Kerdaghor protection and legitimacy in exchange for abolishing its reliance on slavery and adhering to Siril’s Ordosi Code. Though this transition was initially met with resistance, the fire giants eventually embraced their role as guardians of Siril’s southern borders and masters of its forges.
Geography
Kerdaghor’s landscape is defined by its volcanic terrain, vast deserts, and sprawling mining pits. The region’s natural resources—precious metals, gemstones, and volcanic minerals—make it one of the wealthiest and most industrious states within the confederacy.
The heart of Kerdaghor is Vulcanthra, a city carved into the side of an active volcano. Here, the fire giants oversee massive forges and workshops, producing weapons, armor, and tools of unparalleled quality.
