Convent of the Night Enforcers

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB

The organization, the Convent of the Night Enforcers, was founded in 1040 by the monks of Nyx in Karlin with the aim of identifying and eliminating any form of worship or mention of gods in the country. The organization received almost total authority and operates both openly and covertly. Simply mentioning the name of the organization instills fear in citizens, and a common saying among parents to unruly children is, "If you don't eat your soup, the Night Enforcers will come and take you." The Night Enforcers do not shy away from any means of interrogation, and torture is very common among them to extract information.

The structure of the organization is essentially based on four layers:

The Supreme Commander:

Shiran Oblivera is the chief commander of the organization and reports only to the heads of the main Nyx monastery or the Beh. Currently, she is on a secret mission on the continent, searching for ways to enhance the influence of Nyx and locating resistance cells that migrated from the island out of fear of being caught but continue to try to influence the citizens of Karllin. Simply mentioning her name can work wonders and is considered to bring bad luck.

Deputy Commanders:

Moran Bertod, Bo Ortega, and Voltar Oblivera (Shiran's brother). Her three deputies serve as acting commanders and are usually out in the field on various searches. In the situation where the Supreme Commander is absent or unable to fulfill the role for some reason, Moran becomes the acting supreme commander for the first half-year, Bo for the following half-year, and Voltar for the next half-year, and so on in rotation.

Field Unit Commanders:

There are about twenty-seven field units consisting of 4 to 12 members each. One of them is the unit commander and is responsible for making decisions in the field. Every 9 field units are under one of the deputy commanders.
