2024-12-27 A Geas upon Miribadi

General Summary

New player character introduced: Tav Edriss, the Salt Lord of the South. Eclipse Solar.

Scene: Meeting with Slaskon Dooty from Little Lookshy in Nighthammer.

  • Ambassador suggests doing business to outfit Mercenary companies.
  • Mentions that Lookshy had sent a field force on behalf of Lookshy to help Thorns when they were sieged by a Deathlord.
  • Thorns had stronger ties to the Realm at the time, but they contributed forces because they would rather have the Realm than a Deathlord.
  • Scene: Met with Comet Pardoe, son of Mercenary Lord Blaine Pardoe of Ember.

  • Reiterated that he’s willing to work with us as a consultant on the mercenary trade.
  • We’re renting their ship and can hire mercenaries from them.
  • Scene: Discussion of how to dealing with Miribadi Ghostlover

  • Stelsor is concerned that affecting Plentimon’s casino and Willow Specter.
  • Fortifier points out that Miribadi has messed up Director Byorn and is pushing Black Sunshine.
  • While we consider having Dreamflower devour Miribadi‘s essence permanently, but we worry that removing Miribadi entirely could lead to The Lover sending someone worse.
  • Fortifier suggests we need some sort of binding on her. Perhaps a necromancer can help us engineer this.
  • Scene: Plentimon’s Casino

  • Plentimon is playing dice with Burning Feather,
  • There are 5 Raksha in attendance
  • Stelsor, Dreamflower and Fortifier attempt to try the dice game and roll very poorly.
  • We speak with him privately and inform Plentimon that Miribadi had put some necromantic whammy on Willow Specter.
  • Stelsor estimates Plentimon’s lost revenue for him but Plentimon is less concerned about the funds and more about the disrespect that they would dare to tamper with his operations.
  • Miribadi, as a representative of the ghost Plentimon will not name (The Lover), she isn’t a direct signatory of the TZ-Coin-Guild treaty.
  • We also tell Plentimon about the shipment of Soulsteel on the way. It is a component of Black Sunshine, but this seems like a greater amount than they would need for that purpose.
  • Fortifier asks , if we try to intercept this soulsteel, would we want her to know it was us? Should we attempt to pin it on some other group?
  • Plentimon is concerned that this would involve going directly into Miribadi’s place of power.
  • Stelsor points out that he has a ring of shadows.
  • Plentimon brings in a woman who seems familiar. She adjusts her Resplendent Destiny to reveal it is Titiana Botticelli, chosen of Serenity.
  • Plentimon seems to want a very subtle approach.
  • Titiana suggests using the Sign of Venus to hallow the agreement.
  • Stelsor asks if Plentimon wants recompense from Miribadi.
  • Plentimon desires Miribadi forcibly lend two art pieces to be displayed in his casinos.
  • Stelsor asks what Plentimon knows about Director Fruza.
  • Plentimon says Director Fruza had captured someone and made them bet their life against power of the Feather (out of character: not Burning Feather, this is a feather from the Deathlord Black Heron/Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral and Robes of Black Feathers).
  • Plentimon is horribly insulted that Director Fruza framed that as a fair game.
  • Scene: Planning to dealing with Miribadi

  • We’re bringing Titiana along.
  • Stelsor wants to contact his cousin Repatriator of Souls for information on The Lover.
  • Dreamflower recognizes the name Deathrose Pot-pourri as a name that worked on a necromantic ritual she investigated.
  • Stelsor asks Seline to bring Da-Ni-Ka’s net on-loan. The net is useful for restraining Ghosts.
  • Seline comes along in a new Destiny: Levitating Turquoise of Confidence
  • Scene: Liveeasy

  • The scent and aura of death is less than it was last time we were here (roughly 2 weeks go).
  • The shadowland feels weaker, but is the same size.
  • We had disrupted her necromantic incense and cleaning up after the Guild Ziggurat. It will still take time for Creation to heal.
  • We walk through the neighborhood and still see ghosts walking openly.
  • We arrive at Miribadi’s shop at the center and it is not open for business, but we knock anyway and the door opens by magic.
  • 4 undead panthers are lounging on the floor and greet us.
  • We tell the panthers we have business with Miribadi and they send of their mistress.
  • Miribadi is unhappy to see us.
  • Dreamflower lays out our demands and Titiana’s eyes glow blue.
  • First, Miribadi offers Plentimon a vase.
  • Second, Miribadi profers a feather tickler similar to the one Fruza has.
  • Miribadi says she recovered 4 feathers from the aftermath of a battle in the Underworld. She has sold 3 of them already. This is the last one.
  • Fortifier asks what Miribadi has done to make amends.
  • Miribadi says she has done nothing to make it up to Byorn because Byorn hasn’t asked for that.
  • She cautions Fortifier on seeking recompense on behalf of Byorn and the Guild without his request.
  • Fortifier asks if Miribadi is connected to the murders committed by the Tears falling like rain.
  • Miribadi is part of the group, but we mystically verify her words when she claims she wasn’t involved.
  • Our business concluded, the panthers rise to signal the end of the meeting.
  • Scene: Montage working with Thorns refugees

  • Continuing our past work and trying to treat those who may have become addicted to black sunshine.
  • PSAs to explain to the refugees that black sunshine is coming from a deathlord, not unlike the one that drove them from Thorns.
  • Stelsor sketches ideas for how to use the land surrounding the reservoir.
  • Fortifier ponders setting up a demonstration for floating gardens (similar to how the Aztecs farmed).
  • Scene: Montage of rebuilding Little Cloud

  • Stelsor is wanting to have the ship airborne in time to host his wedding with Seline.
