Robsku is an all-inclusive fuel designed as a highly nutritional drink whose appearance, smell, and taste were purposefully crafted to be especially appealing to the nullvox biotrons.

History

Current Day

The reveal of the unethical methods of control used for keeping nullvox and rejin populations in check has drawn a great amount of attention, though it’s still unclear whether an outside intervention – similar to the liberation of the Hextlan Accord and Twin Suns Alliance – will happen should the Ascendancy and the Three Tails rebel movement prove unable to reach an acceptable accord.

Propterties

The fuel contains all the necessary nutrients and energy needed for a nullvox biotron to remain healthy and is intended to be consumed on a daily basis. If the recommended scheduling and dosage is followed there should be no need for any supplementary sources of nutrition.

Physical Characteristics

Robksu is a liquid fuel with a very unique look, smell, and taste that makes it easy to identify from other bio-fuels.   The fuel is thick and slow-flowing with a distinct grainy texture, colored a neon pink with neon blue swirls and splotches. Both the smell and taste are described as being cloyingly sweet to the point of inducing a sense of nausea in most sapient species with olfactory and gustatory organs.

Purpose

This bio-fuel is the primary means of sustenance used for keeping nullvox biotrons running and healthy. Nullvox can survive on other foodstuffs but may have difficulties fulfilling their energy and nutritional requirements due to the limitations incurred by their physiological design.

Hazards

The physical characteristics of the robksu – while purposefully made to be as appealing as possible to the nullvox – has raised some valid concerns of the possibility of mistaking the fuel for a colorful dessert-type foodstuff.   So far, the reported cases of poisoning have remained low, but this is likely attributed to the continued high level of control held by the Ascendancy regarding its manufacture, distribution, and usage.

Robuzu Addiction

A recently discovered side-effect is that the chemical additive robuzu is highly addictive to lusoyans and rejinat.   This is likely because the nullvox’s genetic coding uses the lusoyan DNA for its base framework. It’s not yet been determined if other human-descended species also could be affected.

Industrial Use

Manufacture

Many of the components of the robksu are the same as those found as either bases or additives in most mainstream Ascendancy-origin foods and are sourced from the same actincs and escults farms.   The robksumaru was an actinc that was engineered in conjunction with the invention of the robksu, in order to produce a unique chemical – named robuzu – that has no other purpose than to serve as an additive to this fuel. All nullvox are hardwired during manufacture to be highly susceptible to addiction of this particular chemical.

Distributions

Robksu is still under tight control by government-sanctioned industries, and its manufacturing and distribution heavily limited. Attempts to steal fuel and/or reverse-engineer its formula is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.

Trade & Market

Robksu remains unavailable on any open markets and can only be obtained from a limited number of manufacturers. Verified owners of nullvox biotrons may purchase predetermined monthly volumes of the fuel based off of calculations of daily recommended dosage per specimen. It’s extremely difficult to be granted an additional shipment outside of the registered monthly volume by the relevant instances, should one have run out ahead of time.

Storage

At the end of the manufacture process the fuel is stored in 10-liter sized plastocorate barrels and either cold-stored or shipped directly to customers. Customers are expected to return the barrels once they are empty for cleaning and reusage.

I feel like this is the gateway to an entire arc of interesting stories filled with conflict and characters. Happy Summer Camp

I'm looking forward to expanding on it, whether as part of SC or afterwards. :) Happy summer camp to you too!

The description for it made it sound pretty... but then icky.

This seems legit. At least it's a strictly controlled substance? Though from precedent around the world, something that is highly addictive and/or wanted and heavily controlled ends up being a highly profitable contraband. Time to set up a robksu lab! We'll just color it differently somehow and no one will ever know. >>

What would an ocean be without a monster lurking in the dark?

Oof, very true. Robksu would likely be poisonous if not lethal for non-nullvox - even if I doubt that'd be a showstopper for the greedy. We'll see for how long it remains a controlled substance with the current unrest among the nullvox and recent revolt by the three tails!
