Discipline of Gifts

Skilled

You can grant another character use of the abilities based on the specific GIFT and associated Effect. Effects from the DISCIPLINE OF GIFTS may be stored for later use by marking the GIFT Effect Condition.  The character generating the GIFTS must possess the Approach, Style, or Discipline that they want to use in the effect or a Campaign Skill that allows for a specific use, unless otherwise noted. The GIFT adopts all characteristics of the skill used to deliver it, except as noted. Any variable in the Effect is determined by the character bestowing the GIFT at the time they use the Energy to generate the Effect.

Energy Effect(s)

  Grant the use of the named Skilled Effect once during the current Scene. The target does not have to spend an Energy to use the Effect.
  • Approach- GIFT an individual use of the named Approach’s Skilled Effect.
  • Discipline of Breaching- GIFT OVERWHELMING TO [TRAIT] with FOCUS.
  • Discipline of Damage- GIFT 2 DAMAGE [TRAIT] Attack.
  • Discipline of Healing- GIFT +1 Bonus Stress
  • Discipline of Armor- GIFT DEFLECT DAMAGE
  • Discipline of Defense- GIFT DEFLECT [TRAIT]
  • Discipline of Defense and Damage- GIFT UNERRING 2 DAMAGE [TRAIT] AURA against Melee attacks.
  Grant the use of the named Skilled Effect during the current Scene while FOCUS is marked. The target needs to spend an Energy to use the Effect normally.
  • Approach- GIFT Skilled Approach
  • Style- GIFT Skilled Style
  • Discipline of Survival- Gift Skilled Discipline of Survival [Environment]
  • Discipline of [PATH]- GIFT DISCIPLINE OF [PATH] to all actions that use Energy.
Expert

Energy Effect(s)

Grant the use of the named Expert Effect once during the current Scene. The target does not have to spend an Energy to use the Effect.   Approach- GIFT Expert Approach
  • Discipline of Breaching- GIFT OVERWHELMING TO [TRAIT].
  • Discipline of Damage- GIFT 3 DAMAGE BY [TRAIT] Attack.
  • Discipline of Healing- GIFT +2 Bonus Stress
  • Discipline of Armor- GIFT PARRY DAMAGE
  • Discipline of Defense- GIFT PARRY [TRAIT]
  • Discipline of Defense and Damage- GIFT UNERRING 2 DAMAGE [TRAIT] AURA against attacks.

  • Approach- GIFT Skilled [Approach]

Mana Effect(s)

  • GIFT one of your skills (as an Energy Effect), even if not specifically listed under the DISCIPLINE OF GIFTS, to another character for an individual use during the current Scene.

Master

Free Effect(s)

  • Allow the recipient to deliver the GIFT through their own Approach or Style when the GIFT is granted.

Energy Effect(s)

  Grant the use of the named Master Effect once during the current Scene. The target does not have to spend an Energy to use the Effect.
  • Master [Approach]
  • Discipline of Breaching- GIFT SUPPRESS TO [TRAIT] Attack.
  • Discipline of Damage- 4 DAMAGE BY [TRAIT] Attack.
  • Discipline of Healing- +3 Bonus Stress
  • Discipline of Armor- NEGATE DAMAGE
  • Discipline of Armor- GIFT +1 Bonus ARMOR
  • Discipline of Defense- NEGATE [TRAIT]
  • Discipline of Defense and Damage- GIFT UNERRING [EXPERT EFFECT] [TRAIT] AURA against Melee attacks
Grant the use of the named Expert Effect during the current Scene. The target needs to spend an Energy to use the Effect normally.
  • Approach- GIFT Expert [Approach]
  • Style- GIFT Expert Style
  • Discipline of Survival- GIFT EXPERT DISCIPLINE OF SURVIVAL [Environment]
  • Discipline of [PATH]- GIFT MASSIVE [PATH] to all ATTACK actions that use Energy.
Choose one from this list: Attack, Defense, Utility   Attack Gifts   Discipline of Damage, Discipline of [PATH], Discipline of Breaching   Defense Gifts   Discipline of Armor, Discipline of Defense [TRAIT], Discipline of Healing [Stress]   Utility Gifts   Named Approach, Named Style (Natural), Discipline of Survival [Terrain]   Attack and Defense Gifts   Aura   Minor Milestone Expansion: Add an additional listed Discipline for each level (Skilled, Expert, Master) to the effects that you can generate with this skill if you do not already possess the Discipline.   Refresh Use: During any Refresh, you can grant a Gift into a character’s Gift Slot without using an Energy. You can use this one additional time at Expert for a total of two Gifts and another at Master for a total of three Gifts per Refresh.
