Boggle

Boggles have a ridge that follows from the top of their lip, over their nose and to their eyebrows, raising them up. This ridge is known as a Stroop. Sometimes this feature can appear on the forehead, over the top or sides of the skull. The stroop is often a distinct color than the rest of the boggle’s face and the size, shape, and color of one’s stroop is a matter of pride among the boggle who see it as a manifestation of their odd spirit. In fact, even numbers, symmetry, complimentary colors, and normal conventions of beauty grate on the psyche of a boggle. These otherkin go out of their way to make things as jarring, bizarre and peculiar as possible.   The need to disrupt the order of things is a deeply rooted drive within the boggle. These strange otherkin manifest the ability to disrupt and dispel things which others require extensive training to accomplish. Boggles seek to impose their special vision on the world around them as much as possible. It is not uncommon for boggles to inflict their strangeness on their allies from time to time should the ally offend the odd senses of the boggle. There is generally a type of item, order, or effect that a boggle cannot abide to persist. When a boggle becomes aware of this, its presence will grate on the psyche of the boggle until either the boggle or the offending presence is removed. Boggles call these things harmonics. Some think they use this word improperly as a reference to the ‘harm’ it causes them. This leads to another trait of boggles, the strange use of language. These otherworldly people often take immense pleasure in making wandrakin frustrated in any interaction. Some boggles do this to challenge the wandrakin, others to vex them, still others have no idea it is even happening.   Boggles are not simply creatures of destruction. There are many who learn to craft strange looking but as strong and function items as any Imperial guildsmyn. They tell their own strange tales, sing their odd songs, play their bizarre music, and celebrate with movements that they call dancing. Such acts are oft met with a feeling of disquiet or disgust by ‘ords,’ a common term for creatures that do not share their fomorian ancestry.
