    Neith's forces are largely wiped out in Nefarius's betrayal. She blames herself, as she should have foreseen the event. In her grief she retreats into the Umbral Depths, and enacts the same geas she'd witnessed her mother use with her older brother. Her name still cannot be spoken in the present day.

    Necrotis discovers the Inura's Grace
    Cultural event

    Necrotis discovers that the Vagrant fleet survived, and takes over the Inura's Grace. She begins shaping the descendants of the officers maintaining the ship into what become known as Lurkers. They keep anyone from the planet Kemet from discovering that the Great Ships survive.

    Military action

    Xal and Virkonna ambush Nefarius. They are augmented by their pantheon's power, and manage to slay her, and finally end the war.

    Virkonna is overcome with grief, and enters a magical slumber to hide from the pain. her dragonflights continues around her, but grows ever weaker without her guidance.

    Xal allows his pantheon to kill him, and dismember his mighty body. He knows fighting will only weaken the pantheon, and instead warns them of Krox's treachery.

    Marid is slain by Shivan
    Military action

    Shivan, under the control of Krox, launches a brutal and unprovoked attack against the water Wyrm Marid. He uses the spear Worldender to slay her, creating the Catalyst on the world Marid.   An unknown god moves the planet to protect it.

    Shaya is slain by the elder god Shivan
    Military action

    Shaya awaits her death on a barren moon. She is killed, but her death brings life to the moon and creates the first Great Tree, the source of Shayawood, and the seat of the Shayan Government.

    Virkonna's children pray for her help in the war against Krox and his puppet Shivan. Virkonna awakens and slays Shivan in single combat over the Yanthara, creating two new Catalysts. She then hunts down Krox, and slices him in half. She separates the mind and the heart of Krox to ensure he is never brought back, then she returns to her slumber.

    The Krox forces assault the planet Vakara without warning. All defenders and the population itself is wiped out. The Confederacy responds by marshaling its forces, but refuses to enter the Erkadi Rift in pursuit of the Krox.

    Military action

    The Shayan Confederacy meets the Krox worldkillers over the skies of Starn. The Confederate forces are routed, and the population is slaughtered, then reanimated as shock troops by Krox binders. This battle marks the end of Confederate military strength.

    Political event

    Aran is mindwiped and conscripted into the Confederate Marines. This triggers a chain of events that leads to the godswar, and is set into motion by the god Xal.

    Jerek discovers the Word of Xal, arguably the most powerful Great Ship from the Vagrant Fleet, and becomes captain.
