Potent Circle of Mind: Conventions on the Appropriate and Ethical Usage of Purple Magic

All entities affiliated with the Potent Circle of Mind, henceforth referred to as the circle, under the order of the Cobalt Sun in any form will be subject to the following rules and requirements in all use in an official capacity of Purple Magic. Purple Magic is here defined as magic used to view, influence, change, or remove any other types of magic. Spellcaster is here defined as any person, entity, or organisation using Gold Magic to any extent.

Article 1: Appropriate Use of Purple Magic

Section a. All use of Purple Magic performed may not, in any way, harm a non-agressive practitioner or non-practitioner.
Section b. Any use of Purple Magic in a professional capacity must be reported to any overseeing organisations as well as to the circle.
Section c. Any use of Purple Magic in a personal capacity must not be performed on any private or personal property not owned by the spellcaster in question, unless otherwise permitted by the owner of said private or personal property.
Section d. Purple Magic cast in a public setting must post no danger, physical or otherwise, to any non-participant.
Section e. All spellcasters must remain truthful about their use of Purple Magic to any inquiring entities.
Section f. Any independent spellcaster providing goods and/or services involving Purple Magic must disclose the use of Purple Magic in their practices to any prospective customer before any goods or services are rendered.
Section g. All use of Purple Magic in any setting must be disclosed to all parties affected before any spellcasting occurs.
Section h. The nature of any Purple Magic in any setting must be disclosed to all parties affected before any spellcasting occurs.
Section i. Any Purple Magic intended to last longer than 120 hours is forbidden.

Article 2: University Conduct Regarding the Use of Purple Magic

Section a. Any university that wishes to teach Purple Magic must go over in every relevant course the ethical limitations of Purple Magic and the guidelines established in this document.
Section b. Any university teaching any aspect of Purple Magic must require any learning students to agree to these terms as a signatory before any Purple Magic is to be taught to that student.
Section c. Any university wishing to sponsor a student in the use of Purple Magic in a competitive setting must receive explicit written consent from all competing students, universities, organisation members, and organisations.
Section d. Any university sponsoring students in the use of Purple Magic in a competitive setting must inform any potential opponents beforehand of the use of Purple Magic.
Section e. Any university wishing to provide funding to any research regarding Purple Magic must approve this funding with the circle.

Article 3: Restrictions on Research Involving Purple Magic

Section a. All research involving Purple Magic must disclose the use of Purple Magic to any potential participants before any research is to take place.
Section b. Any experiments done pertaining to Purple Magic must disclose the experimental nature of the given research to any potential participants before any experimentation is to take place.
Section c. All research involving Purple Magic must recieve the written consent of all participants and all parties involved regarding the specific spells and types of Purple Magic that are to be used before any research is to take place.
Section d. Research involving the use of Purple Magic regarding methods of any forms of mind control are not permitted. Mind control is here defined as any magic intended to change the actions or thoughts of an unwilling, thinking, being.

Article 4: The Use of Purple Magic in an Industrial Setting

Section a. Any establishments hiring members of the circle for purposes involving Purple Magic must disclose the use of Purple Magic to any involved or affected parties.
Section b. Any establishments providing goods and/or services involving Purple Magic must disclose the use of Purple Magic in their practices to any prospective customer before any goods or services are rendered.
Section c. Any establishments providing goods and/or services involving Purple Magic must disclose the exact nature of all Purple Magic being used regarding the product.
Section d. The use of Purple Magic performed by a corporation on its employees is not permitted under any circumstance.
