The planar void is the void in between the planes of existence; it is the place, or lack thereof, from which the world was carved. This place is characterised by a complete lack of anything. There is no planar energy, no magic, no Weave. The void rejects anything with essence, anything with form, anything with anything. And yet it seeps through the cracks, into the outskirts of creation, lingering on the edges of everything that is. Scholars have tried to understand it, even to travel to it - but none have returned from their journey into the Nothing, and none have peered into the void and kept their mind intact.
Beings of Void
Within the emptiness of the void exists its expressions of nothingness. Empty things themselves, the void entities are the withering remains of what once was, but what is no longer. As they slowly ebb away, they claw at the connections between the planes, finding their way out of the void through rifts rife with planar energy, spilling into the void and providing gateways back into reality. However, they cannot anchor themselves to the planes, only remaining for a matter of hours - seconds yet aeons, for them, for time does not exist in the void. They linger as long as they can, before the void drags them back to their home.
