Divine Circle of Fortune: Conventions on the Appropriate and Ethical Usage of White Magic

All entities affiliated with the Divine Circle of Fortune, henceforth referred to as the circle, under the order of the Cobalt Sun in any form will be subject to the following rules and requirements in all use in an official capacity of White Magic. White Magic is here defined as magic sourced from a divine or profane entity. Spellcaster is here defined as any person, entity, or organisation using White Magic to any extent.

Article 1: Appropriate Use of White Magic

Section a. All use of White Magic performed may not, in any way, harm a non-agressive practitioner or non-practitioner.
Section b. Any use of White Magic in a professional capacity must be reported to any overseeing organisations as well as to the circle.
Section c. Any use of White Magic in a personal capacity must not be performed on any private or personal property not owned by the spellcaster in question, unless otherwise permitted by the owner of said private or personal property.
Section d. White Magic cast in a public setting must post no danger, physical or otherwise, to any non-participant.
Section e. All spellcasters must remain truthful about their use of White Magic to any inquiring entities.
Section f. All spellcasters must remain truthful about the source of their White Magic to any inquiring entities.
Section g. Any independent spellcaster providing goods and/or services involving White Magic must disclose the use of White Magic in their practices to any prospective customer before any goods or services are rendered.
Section h. All use of White Magic intended to last longer than 24 hours must occur with the explicit, written, consent of all parties involved.

Article 2: University Conduct Regarding the Use of White Magic

Section a. Any university that wishes to teach White Magic must go over in every relevant course the ethical limitations of White Magic and the guidelines established in this document.
Section b. Any university sponsoring students in the use of White Magic in a competitive setting must inform any potential opponents before of the use of any White Magic.
Section c. Any university wishing to provide funding to any research regarding White Magic must approve this funding with the circle.
Section d. All universities are to prohibit the use of White Magic during any examinations or projects where outside sources of information are otherwise prohibited.

Article 3: Restrictions on Research Involving White Magic

Section a. All research involving White Magic must disclose the use of White Magic to any potential participants before any research is to take place.
Section b. Any experiments done pertaining to White Magic must disclose the experimental nature of the given research to any potential participants before any experimentation is to take place.
Section c. If a spellcaster wishes to perform research involving White Magic, they must receive express permission from the entity whom they will draw magic from.
Section d. Any spellcaster publishing research involving White Magic must disclose the entity sourcing the White Magic.

Article 4: The Use of White Magic in an Industrial Setting

Section a. Any establishments hiring members of the circle for purposes involving White Magic must disclose the use of White Magic to any involved or affected parties.
Section b. Any establishments providing goods and/or services involving White Magic must disclose the use of White Magic in their practices to any prospective customer before any goods or services are rendered.
