Greendell Valley: Tamarind Cavern

A massive cavern close to a hundred feet in height, a massive tree with leathery bark of grey mottled with blacks and greens has taken root. Hundreds of papery pods, dripping with effluence, hang from the otherwise bare branches, wrapped with ropes and string to keep them from falling apart too quickly. At least twenty kobolds are racing around, tying up tears and repairing ripped pod walls with rope, string, and tape.   The tree and its surrounding area are utterly encompassed by a massive Galbrok Spider Swarm, which is performing various tasks throughout the environs. Along the north wall of the cavern, some type of machinery control is set into the stone of the wall, flashing sinister lights, and beeping intermittently. A false floor leads from the tree's roots to these control panels, flashing more lights and humming with pure energy. Off of the main tree cave, three pens of human beings are sealed shut. Most of the hapless prisoners sleep in bedrolls on the floor, the poisoned and complacent prisoners just standing and swaying, otherwise.   Some few of the resilient humans throw off Galbrok's yoke, but are too weak to effect any sort of escape. These prisoners are kept in cages suspended various heights above the floor of the cells.   Latrines are set up in each of the pens, which are surprisingly clean and have the straw and bedding changed and cleaned quite often. There are no lice, and any parasites that the doomed people may have are cured before the poor wretches are forcefully grafted into one of the tree's infernal pods.
