Ornzarkjunn O'Bradach
"Bradach's Iron Letter" is the consitution of the Republic of Bael Bradach, founded in 777 by Bradach Ironbeard, the last Overking of Bael'Dhoum. Famously philanthropic, Ironbeard had worked for years to bring the various squabbling thanedoms of the nascent Dwarf kingdom together under a banner of peace. At long last, he was successful.
On the evening before the lords of Bael'Dhoum were to swear fealty to him as their Overking, Bradach called them to his chamber. There, he renounced his claim over them, as well as his throne and dynasty. He proposed a new kind of rulership, decided by the people. He argued so eloquently that all of the hearts in the room were turned, and as one, they elected him their leader.
The Ornzarkjunn O'Bradach was the document they signed to build this democracy. It remains a fundamental, foundational document in the Bradachine legal system, and the supreme law within the republic. Initially, it contained 10 articles which provided the framework for national government. It has since been amended as necessary, to provide a more perfect model for government.
