The Apple Harvest

The Apple Harvest is a longstanding tradition that carries over from the time of the Fae's occupation of their original homeworld. Its exact beginnings are a mystery but it is believed to be tied to the worship of some long dead sylvan god or goddess.   The tradition was later carried to Tairos by the migrating Fae and it was honored by every social strata of their people. Lowborn Fae would celebrate with modest feasts and the exchanging of simple gifts with friends both of their people and with the neighboring races. Those of more wealthy means held lavish reveries in their estates attended by nobility of all races and exchanging gifts of incredible value.   The celebration generally lasts for a week's time and many celebrants continue the party for days after its official end.   During that week's time every host will share their specific traditions with their guests. While gift-giving and feasting are common to every Apple Harvest any of the following can also be part of the tradition:   -Song and dance around a bonfire -Ritual burning of a foe in effigy -Creating apple-based recipes to share with guests -Moon Chants and Moonlight hunts for great beasts -Orgies carried out between guests, servants and nearby neighbors -Indulging in hallucinogenic drugs -Summoning fae spirts -Burying captured enemies alive along with apple seeds
