Traits
Reynes are known for being charming, cunning and headstrong with First Men features which result in hair in brunettes and reds.
Customs
The Reynes like many Westermen have a martial tradition out of necessity because of the Ironborn who have raided them for ages. House Reyne however also have a deep understanding of mining, geology and the sciences related to that; similar to others who have cut their seats into the ground they rule.

History
House Reyne was an ancient line, dating back to the days of the First Men. They made their subterranean seat at Castamere, established around a rich system of mines, caves, and tunnels. The mine's silver and gold made them wealthy, much like the Lannisters of Casterly Rock. The Reynes became a power in the westerlands, and in time styled themselves as the Lords of Castamere.
The Reynes joined the Kingdom of the Rock as vassals when King Loreon I Lannister wed a Reyne daughter.

Seat and Holdings
Named after a nearby pool of water, Castamere began as a mine like Casterly Rock. After building curtain walls to guard the entrance with two stout towers, the Reynes constructed keeps and halls. As the gold and silver dried up, the mine below was cut deeper, and the stripped tunnels were widened and converted into halls, galleries, bedchambers, and a vast underground ballroom. While the surface fortifications resembled those of a minor lord or landed knight, nine-tenths of the castle was subterranean.
Castamere still produces gold and silver in notable amounts, and a small town of miners and their families has developed around the modest surface fortification.
