House Foote is a noble house from the Westerlands. They blazon their arms with a copper dagger across a black chevron, on white. Their words are "to the point."
Culture
Traits
Though their origins lie in the First Men they have over time mixed considerably with the Andals and now are often fair skinned with sandy blond hair and grey blue of eye tending toward average height and lean builds.
Customs
For their place between the Westerlands and Riverlands house Foote has long had to fight to keep what is theirs and because of this and the harsh terrain of the hills they live in they have a strong martial tradition and produce some of the fiercest men at arms known to the region and act almost more as a sellsword company than a house gaining nearly all their income from acting as the might of others, in pay or pillage.

History
Origins
The Footes are an ancient line, dating back to the days of the First Men and were known to be followers of the old gods at some point, though the weirwood that sits in the center of their seat does not bear the face that is the well known makings of a Heart Tree.
Aegon's Conquest
Ser Philip Foote; brother to Lord Yancy Foote, along with many, many others of the house, was killed at the field of fire before Yancy bent the knee beside Loren Lannister.
First Dornish War
The "Chevron and dagger" was among the many banners that marched with King Aegon to Dorne and like man others faced considerable losses to the ambushes that plagued the men who were sent there.

Seat and Holdings
Copper Pointe is the seat of house Foote and is a Keep built at the widest edge of a tapered strip of copper ore that though exposed, has never been mined. A small town formed around the original mining camp that cut below the surface and the modern keep is built upon the mouth of the original but now abandoned mine. A few mine shafts run the hill but yield little in the way of valuable ore. Copper Pointe is the only known Westerland Keep with a weirwood tree on their lands which stands as a focal point of the town square however it lacks a face common to heart trees of the old gods.
Copper Pointe is located east of Hornvale, south of Pinkmaiden at the very end of the most westward tendril of the Blackwater Rush and has historically been contested between the Kings of the Rock, and the Riverkings of old.
