History

Targaryen Dynasty

The early history of house Doggett is hardly interesting enough to be recorded. It is assumed they were part of one of the many Andal warbands that came through the Vale and settled in the Westerlands or Riverlands. In recent history the Doggett's have served as watchmen against Ironborn raids from their seat over the Tumblestone. They are one of the early warnings for those who live beyond the Ironman's bay and make common use of ravens to inform those near the Riverroad or near Casterly Rock.

Recent Events

Recently, house Doggett's ties to the Warrior's Sons through Rolland Doggett have brought them no small amount of trouble, however it was sheer coincidence that saw house Doggett punished for Rolland's rebellious ways when Rolland's parents, Lord and Lady Doggett, and Rollands sister were burned to death by Dragonfire at Hornvale.   This has only united the house around Rollands cause, with the few cousins who remain quietly supporting him and the Warrior's Son's.

Seat and Holdings

Ravenspike is a modest walled keep with a tall spire where a watchman stands guard day and night beside a rookery where warnings can be sent to a handful of Westerland Lords along the Riverroad and Casterly Rock. Hardly a fortress intended to hold back the tides of the Ironmen and barely worth sacking except to maintain the secrecy of a raid.
