The Fae

Artisans of Illusions

Guardians of the Faescape

The Fae are a mysterious and enigmatic race that inhabit the Faescape, a realm beyond the physical world that can only be accessed through powerful magic. They possess an array of supernatural abilities, including the power to manipulate dreams and memories, and are considered the guardians of the Faescape.
Master Illusionists
The Fae are artisans of illusions, able to craft stunning landscapes and experiences within the Faescape with effortless ease. They can lead visitors down a path of terror or serenity, and even cloak their realm from those who seek to find it. The Fae's mastery of the art of illusion makes them a formidable and unpredictable force, capable of shaping the perceptions of those who enter their dreamscape in ways beyond the limits of imagination.
Respect and Fear
The Fae are to be revered and held in awe by those who dare to venture into the Faescape. They are not to be toyed with, and those who seek to unlock the secrets of the dreamscape must approach with the utmost caution and cunning. The Fae are known to be whimsical and capricious, and they wield their powers with a practiced hand, able to aid or hinder those who enter their realm.

Abilities

Illusion Casting: Fae possess the power to create realistic illusions that can deceive the senses and even alter reality in their own realm.   Shapeshifting: Fae have the ability to shape-shift, allowing them to take on various forms and assume new identities. This power is often used for protection, camouflage, and deception.   Invisibility: Fae can turn invisible at will, making them virtually undetectable to the naked eye. This power allows them to move undetected through their realm and to avoid unwanted attention.   Flight: Fae are able to fly, which is a common mode of transportation in their realm. They can fly at incredible speeds and maneuver with great agility, making them formidable opponents in aerial combat.   Enhanced Senses: Fae possess heightened senses, allowing them to see, hear, and smell things that are imperceptible to humans. This ability enables them to detect danger, track their prey, and gain an edge in combat.   Healing: Fae have a natural ability to heal themselves and others, using their magical powers to mend wounds and illnesses. They are known to possess healing powers that surpass human understanding and have been known to cure ailments that are incurable in the human world.   Reality Warping: Fae have the ability to manipulate reality by bending the laws of physics and altering the fabric of space and time. This power enables them to create or destroy matter, open portals to other dimensions, and even control the weather.   Teleportation: Fae can teleport themselves and others over great distances, allowing them to travel instantaneously across their realm. They can also use this power to escape danger or to surprise their enemies.

Anatomy and Physical Appearance

The Fae are a graceful and slender race, with delicate features and ethereal beauty. They have pointed ears, piercing eyes that can change color depending on their mood, and wings that can range in size and shape from delicate butterfly wings to grandiose dragon wings. Their skin can be any shade from palest white to deep earthy brown and their hair can be long and flowing or short and spiky, but it is always vibrant in color. They are generally smaller in stature than humans, averaging between 4 to 5 feet tall, but their wingspan can range from 6 to 10 feet.
Dietary Habits
The Fae have a delicate palate and are known to enjoy the sweet nectar of flowers, the honey of the wild, and the sap of trees. They also have a love for exotic fruits and fine wines. Unlike humans, they do not require sustenance to survive, instead they gain energy from the magic that surrounds them and can go for long periods without eating.
Behavior and Psychology
The Fae are mischievous by nature and are known for their love of playing tricks on humans and each other. They are highly emotional and their moods can change quickly. They are also very creative and enjoy artistic expression, dance, and music. The Fae are a highly social race and love to gather together to dance, sing, and tell stories.
Biological Traits
The Fae possess a number of supernatural abilities, including the power to manipulate dreams and memories, the power of flight, and the ability to shape shift into different forms. They are also able to cast illusions, teleport, and call upon the magic of the realm to aid them in their endeavors.

Culture

The Fae place great emphasis on individuality, freedom, and creativity. They are not bound by the same rules as humans and are not limited by the laws of reality. They believe in living life to the fullest and embracing all that the world has to offer.
Origin
The Fae are said to have been born from the magic that permeates the world. They are not of this world, but rather a separate realm that exists alongside it. They are not bound by the same laws of reality as humans and as such, they possess an array of supernatural abilities.

Social Structure

The Fae have a complex social structure, with different courts ruling over different aspects of the Faescape. There is the Summer Court, ruled by the Seelie King, who presides over the light and life of the realm, and the Winter Court, ruled by the Unseelie Queen, who presides over the darkness and death of the realm. The Fae are divided into these two courts and they are often at odds with each other.   Naming Traditions
The Fae have a unique naming tradition, as they are named for the aspect of magic they embody. For example, a Fae who has the power to control the wind might be named Zephyr, while a Fae who has the power to manipulate memories might be named Mnemosyne.

History

The history of the Fae is shrouded in mystery, with few concrete details known. What is known is that the Fae have been around for as long as there has been magic in the world and that they have always been protectors of the Faescape.   In the Eldenian tabletop role-playing game, the Faescape serves as both a source of magic and a setting for adventures and encounters. Characters may venture into the Faescape in search of lost memories or powerful magic, but they must be wary of the dangers that lurk within. The Fae who inhabit the Faescape are not to be underestimated, and characters must be ready for the unexpected if they hope to survive and succeed in the Enchanted Dreamscape.
