Reverium Introduction

Welcome to Reverium

Reverium is a land of endless wonder and danger. Every step I take reveals new magic and new mysteries, and yet, at the same time, I am constantly aware of the lurking darkness that threatens to snuff out the light of this vibrant kingdom. But despite the dangers, I would not trade a single moment of my time here for anything in the world. For in Reverium, I have found adventure, magic, and a sense of purpose that I never thought possible.
— An adventurer exploring the wilds of Reverium
In the enchanted land of Reverium, magic flows as freely as the wind. Its mystical presence can be felt in every nook and cranny of the kingdom, from the soaring towers of the wizarding academies to the bustling marketplaces teeming with spellbinding goods. Reverium is a place of wondrous diversity, where people from far-flung corners of the world bring with them their own distinctive cultures, traditions, and, of course, magical abilities.   As one journeys beyond the desert, the terrain transforms, giving way to verdant forests, undulating hills, and towering mountains. Here, the power of Reverium's magic remains just as potent, and the kingdoms that have arisen amid these rugged and unbridled landscapes are filled with daring champions, formidable enchanters, and cunning tricksters.   However, Reverium is not without its perils. A malevolent force skulks in the shadows, menacing the delicate balance of magic that underpins the kingdom. From the enigmatic cults that venerate ancient eldritch beings to the ravaging hordes of maleficent sorcerers, the inhabitants of Reverium are under constant threat from the powers of darkness. Only the valiant heroes of Reverium possess the mettle to confront these looming dangers head-on, wielding their spells and their valor to safeguard their homelands and their people.

The Magitek of Reverium

In Reverium, the Magitek technology combines memory magic, steampower, and clockwork gear power. Magitek devices are powered by memory crystals, which are charged with magical energy by storing memories. Steampower and clockwork gear power are used to enhance and control the magical energy, allowing for the creation of various mechanical devices, including weapons, vehicles, and other tools. Magitek is an important aspect of Reverium's society and economy, with skilled engineers and craftsmen working to create new and innovative devices that can aid in everything from transportation to warfare.

Memory Magic

In Reverium, magic is tied to memories, and the preservation of memories is important to maintain the magic. Memories can be transferred or restored to prevent the loss of magic, and different types of memories can be used to power spells, making each player's magic unique to them. Memory crystals are used to store memories, and the crystals have different properties depending on the type of memory they contain. Incorporating memories into the mechanics of the game also opens up opportunities for exploration and storytelling.
Memory Crystals
Memory crystals are a unique magical element found in the world of Reverium. They are crystal formations that are capable of storing memories and experiences, both of individuals and of entire cultures. These memories can be drawn from the crystals by individuals with the proper skills and knowledge, allowing them to experience the memories for themselves. Some individuals may choose to have their own memories preserved in memory crystals, either to share with others or to preserve them for posterity. Memory crystals are also used in the creation of spells and enchantments, with their stored memories serving as a source of power and knowledge for spellcasters.

Steampower

Steampower is a type of technology that is powered by steam, typically generated by heating water to create steam pressure that can be harnessed to power machines. In Reverium, steampower is used in a variety of ways, from transportation to industry to warfare.   The kingdom of Iron Mountains is known for its advanced use of steampower technology. They have developed a range of steam-powered machines, including trains, airships, and even mechs. These machines have helped the kingdom to become a major player in Reverium's industrial economy, and have also given them a powerful military advantage.

Clockwork Gears

Clockwork gear power is another type of technology in Reverium, and it is primarily used by the gnomes of the Evergreen Kingdom. This technology relies on the use of intricate clockwork mechanisms to power machines and devices. Clockwork gear power works by using a series of gears and springs to create motion and power. These gears are intricately designed to work together to create complex movements and actions, such as powering a machine or device. The springs store potential energy, which is released as the gears turn and move.   In the Evergreen Kingdom, the gnomes have become masters of clockwork gear power, and have created many impressive devices using this technology. Clockwork gear power is used to power everything from simple devices, such as clocks and toys, to more complex machinery, such as vehicles and even weapons.
