Description:
A subtle magical resonance emitted by this metal disrupts spell conduits around the wearer. This includes living casters and blightbeasts. Depending on the density of the metal, it will slightly disrupt attempts to target the wearer. Forslone metal must be molded into armor and worn by a living organism of a sufficient mass to generate this resonance. It synchronizes with the wearer, but it does not draw from them in any way to apply this effect.
Why the forslone matter interacts the way it does is highly debated, but some hypotheses suggest it is some kind of abberant survival mechanism. Few supporters of this explanation believe that the metal has any kind of will of its own. They merely suggest it is predisposed to hinder magic.
The effect applies to both friendly and hostile magic, limiting the usefulness of such armor. However, some still find it plenty useful. Sometimes accessories are made from the material. Such rings or necklaces boost an individual’s resistance in battle, if only a little.
