Blightshrooms

Blightshrooms:

General Notes:

Description:

A blightshroom bears a resemblance to a mushroom, including cap and mycelium structures. However, it is typically sustained by a festerfont's energies, though it can be supplied with an alternate food source. Most are very efficient at extracting certain nutrients from whatever they grow on. In some cases, festerfonts develop to reclaim this energy through some yet-unknown method.   Blightshrooms can be harvested and used to extract nutrients from various surfaces, including the very ground, though it is difficult for researchers to predict what will be extracted, and varying results leads to disappointments. Hope for more practical applications remain strong, at least for some blightfungi materials.
