Blightbleeds

Blightbleeds:

General Notes:

Description:

A blightbleed is a type of blightfungus that grows on a living thing, taking the appearance of a bubbling jelly. It is named after a particularly ugly appearance, as if Blighted blood drips from the host. Coloration of this 'blood' depends on the specimen in question, and also upon the host it has attached itself to.   Sometimes, a blightbleed can be useful for its mutualistic relationship with the organic matter that hosts it. Normally, a human or any such intelligent species would not be crazy enough to willingly allow the Blight to grow on them, but some eccentric seekers or civilians have cultivated blightbleed on their bodies to augment their abilities. Ironically, later discoveries reveal that a person integrated with a blightbleed growth is more resistant to the harmful mental effects of the Blight Malady.
