Abilities
Abilities are intrinsically tied to Classes, and are granted by a Class when first gained (at which point two are given), as well as two more throughout their progression to level 10. This is typically done at 5th and 10th level, but not always.
Classes can also refine their Abilities at certain levels (not unlike how Skills work), which is denoted within the Class. Ability Refinements aren't guaranteed, but once the Class enables the option, some kind of special Quest will be issued by the System in order to obtain that refinement.
Abilities require Stamina to use, as denoted in the article on the System itself. Stamina is a reservoir of physical energy that is slowly replenished every minute, or can be recovered in a pinch by consuming a Stamina Potion or Stamina Elixir. They are extremely varied and versatile in nature, able to do a great many things and fulfil many niches, but unlike Essences, the Stamina cost of an Ability cannot be decreased through mastery.
If a Corewalker gains more Abilities than their Ability Capacity attribute permits them to have, however, they must unlearn one of them, which is of their choice, or they must turn down the Ability they would learn. Regardless of what they do, however, any Ability they have unlocked can be purchased in the System Exchange to allow them to learn (or relearn) abilities when they get more Ability Capacity for them.
