Inzu Ethnicity in NEW WORLD SAME TRIS | World Anvil

Inzu

Inzu people are the native ethnicity of the kingdom. They had inhabited it for millenias along with several other surrounding places depending on how well their current dynasty was doing. They are proud people who put importance on their long history, written art and most importantly - their fabric producing industries. Clothing makes a man and different kinds of threads and styles of not only fabric but also home decorations and other accessories are the key thing to their cultural heritage and exports. Also, they absolutely love tea.   The art of embroidery is the most sacred thing to the Inzu people but not in the way that they would like to keep it secret - quite the opposite. It is a widespread industry that is a staple of every little town and village - there is always at least one little embroidery house everywhere. Being able to use a needle effectively is a skill that every member of Inzu society must know and poor sewing skills are generally greatly frowned upon. It is a truth universally acknowledged that their embroidery techniques are the best, magic or no magic, and they are on an eternal quest to improve it, exchange ideas with the cultures around them, and then improve it some more.   While trade among artisans is generally very open and welcoming, especially when it comes to making individual embroideries, patterns and talismans - when it comes to a full outfit, everything becomes a more stricter. There have always been, in some shape or form, very strict sumptuary laws among the Inzu. There are individual categories based on your status in the society and also within one's life or family, describing what you are allowed to wear, how, and why. Clothing not only represents you and your role within society to the rest of the world, but it also protects you both on the physical and the spiritual level. Therefore it is very important for everyone, to dress up in the correct way. Failing to follow these laws may result in grave punishments depending on who you are.
