Dinozaurs
According to scholars the world over, the Dinozaurs were the first Mystimon to ever evolve on Terr'ahna, and which ruled the world for millions of years even before folk or fey ever arrived. It is also said these creatures went extinct millions of years before the first people, which according to some, may have actually been the Sauruses, but there is little to no evidence to this fact. The established history is that Dinozaurs evolved on Terr'ahna millions of years ago, ruled the world alone for millions of years, then went extinct under mysterious circumstances. Soon after, millions of years later, the first Fey emerged, the Altarans, which soon migrated to Olympus, the homeland of the Fey today. There they branched off into the Gelvaran, the Frostelvan (said to have been a nomad group that branched off and went north), and the Dusgelvan. But many believe that history is wrong. Some believe that the established history that people arrived after the Dinozaurs went extinct is wrong. Supporters of this theory point to pictoglyphs found the world over, the most famous of which being found in Almahna which depict creatures which could only be described as Dinozaurs. How else would these people have known these creatures existed unless they were alive at the same time? Moreover, they point to the word of mouth stories told by natives living in Madas.
But one of the most perplexing stories is that these creatures were actually far larger than what scholars suggest based on the bones which have been dug up so far. . .
However, a group of adventurers in Olympus have recently found evidence to suggest that these stories could actually be true, that they were indeed much larger than previously thought. What's more, these adventurers believe these creatures aren't exactly as extinct as previously thought. . .
