The Founding of Ashamaal

Since I was a child I have been proud of my people and my heritage. If you ask me, we are a people unparalleled in the world. What other people do you know, that can not only survive in the wastes of Sindar, but thrive? The heat of the sun beats down on us, the water is scarce and the plants and animals few, but we endure. And though each of us is responsible for our own survival, it is through working together, not alone that we thrive as much as we do. We grow and prosper because we take care of our family, of our community, above our own comforts when necessary. Like the individual threads of a rope, as individuals, strong as we are, we are easily broken, but when bound together we are strong indeed. Even if one, or several threads fail or break, the others support the broken threads and the rope remains strong.
For the last several years of my life I have traveled the world and helped fulfill the needs of others far and wide, and I will continue doing so, for I believe that we are a benefit to the whole world, not just ourselves. However, my heart has always been here with you, and I will ever return here to you, my family, my home. I have worked hard to see this place grow and prosper, and always returned with the best of my goods here to Ashamaal and I rejoice to see what this has become.
It is for that purpose that I know declare that I will distribute all that I have to my trusted friends, employees, and family so that this place will continue to grow, and will go on long after I have passed on to the next world. In truth it belongs to you already, and will belong to our sons and daughters. We should always strive to be better than our past selves and give generously of ourselves to our family. This is not goodbye, for I will see you all many times yet before my years are done if it is my destiny. Rather this is a welcoming and formal acknowledgement of a home that no longer needs depend on me as a child one day no longer needs depend on their family, but like any strong family, we do not do for each other because we depend on each other, but out of the love for our family and because we are all stronger together.
May this home, and this family prosper forever after!
