The Sphonite Origin

The five suns cataclysm was not kind on any of the ascendants, though of the ten. Osephi suffered the most.
The war and honor driven warrior was not one who knew to cultivate life. No matter how hard she tried, all she could produce were constructs of stone and rock, lifeless golems that moved as if autonomous, but only worked to fulfill the needs of their creator.
Unfortunately for Osephi, this act of creation was a means to an end, a poor attempt to scratch an itch that could not be satisfied by mere golems and constructs. No matter how much she pitted these creations of hers against one another. It never sated her thirst for watching the real deal. This was just simulated behavior that meant nothing.
Yet she persisted for centuries regardless. Eventually, the eleventh century of the radiant era approached, when Ascendant Jeidit approached her.
Pitying her, he offered wisdom and the designs of the humans he created. Taking many of the lifeless golems and contorting their design, forging them with ideals of knowledge, freedom, curiosity, and adventure.
Whether it was a cruel joke disguised as pity, but these humans had a taste for experiencing a fleeting emotion. Mimicking ascendant Osephi only in looks, but not in ideals.
War was good for Osephi for a century or two before the Baresh dispersed, blazing trails to reaches considered unexplored. Plenty of time to call forth others whom wished to partake in the Osephian glory.
the original Sphonite people now wander free through the deserts and the mountains, whilst the modern Sphonites consist of adventurers of Jeidit and other assorted whackos such as Dainites who migrated to the desert shores in an ironic search for enrichment.
