Dragonborn
Ah, the Dragonborn. A supposed noble race of human-dragon descendants. But the veil of fiction fades when divination shines through. In truth, many Dragonborn, especially the nobles, aren't really all that special- nor all that briliant for what they claim they do for our societies- I find myself an exception, but that may be bias at this point.
Appearance
While any race can mingle with dragons and produce a Dragonborn offshoot, generally these are considered more chimeric in nature. A real Dragonborn, as the Lexicanum Historica deems fit, is a "human with draconic blood, descending directly from a great-dragon grandparent." While any other race can mingle with a dragon and produce their own version of Dragonborn, these dragonborn will fall under the category of Chimeras. A genuine Dragonborn's appearance will change very rapidly through each generation, if no additional draconic blood is introduced. Let's take, for example, a pureblooded human family, and introduce at First Generation, a dragon. At second generation, the offspring Dragonborn, will look heavily like their parent dragon. Keeping the horns, the tail, the eyes, and the magic of their parent. But the rest of their body will look very much like their human parent. A very odd, but definitive hybrid. At third generation, with the Dragonborn and another pureblooded human, the offspring produced would retain a portion of the features; less defined horns, smaller tail, weaker draconic eyes. So on and so forth. Eventually, and maybe at random, the only thing that will remain to keep the lineage true with a Dragonborn is the magic potential; but even that is diluted over the course of even a few generations.Physique
Dragonborn look very much human, and retain very much human resistences and, in most cases, human physique. Meaning human strength, agility, dexterity, endurance, so on and so forth. However, non-physical, or meta-physical, resistances and attributes may be highlighted in a Dragonborn. Disregarding their draconic eyesight and different vision types, Dragonborn possess enhanced magic capabilities in the same regard as their dragon ancestor, and magical resistences to their racial magic. (If a fire dragon has a Dragonborn child, the Dragonborn has increased resistence to Fire damage types.)Habitats
Well, where do humans live? This category and below are relatively self-explanatory and varies the most. Nothing is changed with a Dragonborn's habitat or dietary needs.Diet
Whatever a human needs to in order to survive, nothing is changed between a human and a Dragonborn.Addendum:
Many critics, scholars, and readers have asked me to clarify on how a Dragonborn is birthed. And unfortunately, for educational purposes, I have to specify both methods. Yes, a Dragonborn can be hatched from a dragon's egg. Yes, a woman can give birth to a Dragonborn without any issue, infant features are much smaller than one may think. This is a stub!
