Perses

Celestial of Destruction ex terminabilis Perses

For most people, Creation and Destruction are diametrically opposed. For how could two concepts that are so clearly opposites of each other in nature and manifestation ever possibly be anything other than opposites. In reality, however, the relationship between the two forces are far more intertwined than first meets the eye. They are two sides to the same coin. This relationship between the two forces is also reflected in the duality of their Regulators, with each Regulator treating each other as sibilings. So who's the sibiling for Thesis who represents the other side of the coin? The answer to that question, would be Perses, the Celestial of Destruction Ex Terminabilis.

Artifacts

As the Celestial of Destruction Ex Terminabilis, one could claim Perses holds a connection to any destructive artifact or weapon, from the classical Atomic Bomb that striked fear into every K0 class world, to the largest multiversal scale weapons arsenal. If it is used far more to Destroy, then you could likely assume it's connected in one way or another to Perses.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

When it comes to Divine Symbols or Sigils related to Perses, there is really only two that always come to mind, Destruction Purple. and the Purple Flame itself. The latter of which is shared with his Sibiling Prometheus

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Like all Celestials, Perses has two main physical forms, a True Form, and a Humanoid one. Perses's True form has been observed to look like an eldritch creature, similar to the contemporary depictions of the being known as Azathoth from the old mythos. As for Perses's Humanoid form, it has a physical condition that could likely only be described as Divine or Angelic in nature.

Body Features

Similar to other Celestial class entities, Perses has a set of angelic wings tinted the color corresponding to the aspect they are connected to, in this case purple. These wings can be concealed and unfurled as they desire.

Identifying Characteristics

When it comes to Perses's Humanoid form, there are a few identifiying features that help make clear that it's them. First would be the Destruction Purple Colored Hair and Eyes, which represent his Domain. He also tends to have an aura radiating the same color wisping around her at most times.

Special abilities

As the Celestial of Destruction Ex Terminabilis, Perses holds a multitude of abilities. A list of his observed skills can be found below. Do note that this is very much not an all encompassing list as, like many Celestial Class Entities, we are still uncovering exactly what they are truly capable of.

Celestial Genetics

As a 1st Generation Celestial Perses holds Celestial Genetics, resulting in him holding unlimited potential. While it is entirely unclear what this will mean in the long run, given the unprecedented nature of his existence, so far, we have discovered a few traits that seem to be connected to his Celestial Genetics.
  • True Immortality: Due to holding Celestial Genetics, Perses has a Type 5 True Immortality Curse. This makes it entirely impossible to actually kill him off
  • Absolute Strength:Perses's scores are so high on strength that his score is quite literally unquantifiable.
  • Absolute Perception: Perses's Perception scores are completely and utterly unquantifiable. From a practical perspective, this would mean he would hold Omnipresence and be able to see anything across the entire nexus and even beyond, though it is not entirely clear if this is true.
    Show spoiler
Though if that is the case, it must be quite nice to be able to see everything without having to use your cameras as a medium to do so.
  • Absolute Endurance: Perses's Endurance Scores are completely off the charts, making him capable of taking a beating from pretty much anything in existence.
    Show spoiler
A feat not even Gabbie can pull off, and she thinks lounging around in the center of a supermassive black hole is a 5-star destination choice.
  • Absolute Charisma: Perses's Charisma Scores are entirely off the scales, it's entirely unclear what this would mean in practical applications, though it is theorized this was what allowed End to have such a strong sway over Althea back in the 4th and 5th eras
  • Absolute Intellect: Perses's Intellect Scores are entirely off the charts, making his one of the most intelligent beings on record, if not the most intelligent, not even the Chairman of the Collective holds a candle to her.
    Show spoiler
He makes even the brainiest brains in the metaverse and beyond look like village idiots in comparison.
  • Absolute Agility: Perses's Agility scores are entirely off the charts, making him the fastest and most agile person alive to date; he could be anywhere in existence instantly and not even need to teleport to get there.
  • Absolute Luck: Perses's Luck scores are completely off the charts, making him the luckiest person on record. This would mean the odds are quite literally ever in his favor.
    Show spoiler
And unlike an XCOM 2 sniper, 99% chance of hitting actually means 99% chance of hitting.
  • Absolute Spirit: Perses's Spirit scores are entirely off the charts, meaning she has one of the most potent souls on record, even more powerful than Ramon's.

Regulator of Destruction

As the Celestial of Destruction, Perses is classified as the Regulator of Destruction. This gives her completely unprecedented power over the domain of Destruction itself. It's not 100% clear what this would mean, but the Chairman did mention some theories about what this could potentially mean.
  • Regulatory Authority: As the Regulator of Destruction, Perses has complete and Absolute Authority across the domain of Destruction, granting her complete and absolute control over Destruction and everything that encompasses. However, this does not give him the ability to override the Authority of other Domains, and Sephiron could theoreticlaly override her authority if she so chooses.
  • Destruction's Authority: As the Embodiement of Destruction Perses holds what is known as "Destruction's Authority." What this could mean however is entirely unknown at this time.
  • Celestine Entropic Collapse: As the Regulator of Destruction, Perses is capable of forcing a target to undergo Entropic Collapse, causing their Imminent Destruction.
  • Imagination's Kin: As the Celestial of Destruction, Perses draws his power from Imagination itself, this allows him to inherit the complete and total Immutability held by Sephiron, for as long as he draws his power from Imagination directly.

Personal history

To improve readability, we have decided to split this section into "Chapters," as it were. Each section will have a Header above it which you can access from the Table of Contents for this entry.

Prologue and Origins

Like the other Regulators, it's entirely unclear where Perses originated exactly. It's been theorized that she was born from the very first act of Destruction, when the second world was consumed by the Sea shortly after the formation of the World Core but this has not been confirmed or denied by any primary sources we have access to. What we do know however is that Perses was one of the first Celestials to make contact with Management, playing a key role along with Thesis in helping resolve the Shattering incident by showing Management how to seal away the Fallen Regulator Erebus within one of the fragments of Excalibur. This should have been the start of an unbreakable Alliance, but The Emissary twisted things into his favor, manipulating The Sorcerer into sealing Perses and his fellow Regulators in the remaining shards of Excalibur. This is where Perses remained throughout the duration of the first 3 eras of Nexus History, patientely biding her time until the day came where she and her sibilings would be released from their prisons.

Chapter 1: To Test ones Resolve

Many thousands of Eons after The Sorcerer's betrayal, the Nexus was a changed place. Gone were the days of Management being the only Creators within the Nexus, as Management had all but wiped themselves from history, leaving Phoenix in charge of everything alongside the Ancient Guardians. It is in this immensely changed landscape that Perses found themselves reawakened and unsealed by Althea after activating the defunct Framework Gateway, having been sealed into an immensely powerful blade known only as The Sword of the End. Perses, having waited a very long time for this day, decided to take advantage of this to test the resolve of this new child who unsealed them, first pushing them to slash at Phoenix to see how durable they are. This instantly killed Phoenix, but to their surprise he very quickly resurrected himself from his ashes. Phoenix allowed Althea to keep the blade, and Perses chose to continue testing the young child, first by sending them to the Phoenix force and orchestrating the events that led to her believing she would end the era in a clash with her sister Ashia....

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

As with the other Regulators it's impossible to truly elucidate their motivation and drives. In fact, when asked directly what might motivate them, they provided this rather cryptic answer.
To Regulate the Domain, to protect those who come after, and ensure they are ready for what is to come
— Perses when asked about their motivation
